I am a perinatal mental health counselor with 17 years of experience working in a variety of settings including community mental health and the prison system. After my own traumatic birth experience, I shifted my focus to helping moms navigate the transition to parenthood and heal from any traumas experienced before, during, and after that process. I am certified in perinatal mental health and EMDR.
Within my practice, I am dedicated to offering personalized treatment that aligns with each client's unique strengths and aspirations. I firmly believe that individuals already possess the capability to instigate change, and my role is to guide them through this transformation by leveraging their inherent positive qualities.

Balance and Breathe: Stress Management for Moms
Parenting is stressful! It often feels like we can go from zero to 100 in no time flat, and sometimes we "snap" over what seems like minor things. If you've ever wondered why this is happening and are looking for practical solutions and skills to help manage the stress of parenthood, this interactive class is for you. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of stress in general and how it accumulates as well as multiple interventions to help you keep your "stress bucket" under control. Let's find more calm and reduce the overwhelm so we can experience greater joy in motherhood.

Note: This 90 minute class will be held in-person at Jennifer's office at 501 Church St. NE, Suite 106, Vienna, VA 22180. This class will be offered on a quarterly basis beginning in March 2025.
