Mom Group Lessons learned since 2005...

Your Mamistad group is your own! Pregnancy and new motherhood are busy times. Your group is meant to be a lifeline, not another obligation!  Don't stress about it, but don't take it for granted either. Many moms wish they'd connected more with their groups before baby arrived to help alleviate some of the overwhelm they feel after.

Think of your group as friends who have a major life experience in common and can connect over WhatsApp to share info and photos, ask questions, and plan in-person get-togethers. Being an "active" member means that your group members know who you are and that you definitely want to connect when you're able.

In the beginning, I highly recommend:

  • A planned weekly Zoom (at least in the beginning) to make sure everyone stays in the loop.

  • Round Table discussions when you meet to make sure everyone is heard.

  • Check out THE MAMISTAD VILLAGE and set up groups chats with the providers you'd like to hear from!

  • Join the MAMISTAD FORUM on Facebook to stay in touch with other Mamistad Members and Providers.

If the majority of your group members would prefer a more structured group, please contact me and we'll work on a schedule and framework for you.

Feel free to reach out if you need help with anything!
